Winter School

One of the most unique things about Rangitaiki College – Te Kura Tuarua ō Rangitaiki is that every July holidays between 30 and 40 of our senior students come back to school for a week to engage in some hands on and real life learning in our Winter School programme. Students gain 21 – 23 credits learning about their employment rights and responsibilities, managing their finances, workplace health and safety, customer service and barrista skills. 

 

Winter school has become a tradition here at Rangitaiki College – one which is welcomed by our students each year. The programme is offered in partnership with ITS – Industry Training Solutions who provide the framework of the standards offered and the tutors, some of whom have been working with our students for many years.
