Enrol now…Big enough to offer it all, small enough to care…

Student Wellbeing & Support

Students have access to a counsellor and nurse, free of charge, during school hours.

All students receive wrap-around support from a team including their Whānau Ako class, teachers, Kaiārahi (Tutor Teachers), Kaitiaki (Deans), Deputy Principals, Counsellor, Registered Nurse, Careers Advisor, Gateway Administrator, and SENCO (Special Needs Co-ordinator).

If you are concerned about your child’s wellbeing, or there are situations in the student’s life that we should be aware of, please contact your child’s Kaiārahi or call our school office on 07 304 8211 to speak with our nurse or counsellor.

Peer Support Programme & Peer Support Camp

Peer Support programmes provide opportunities for senior students to contribute to counselling and guidance support for students attending secondary school. The programme is designed to help students achieve success at school by developing relationship skills, self-esteem, and a strong sense of belonging.

Benefits include:

  • Helping junior students adjust to life at high school.
  • Training senior students as Peer Support Leaders to guide and support junior students as they begin high school.
  • Building self-confidence, trust, and friendships through group discussions and activities led by senior students.
