School Board
The Rangitaiki College Board governs the school to ensure a safe learning environment where all students can achieve their goals. We are proud to support our staff and students in a range of endeavours as we continue transforming Rangitaiki College into a modern learning environment and a leading choice for education in the Eastern Bay.
Our Board works in collaboration with the Principal to provide the best possible secondary school experience for our students. We focus on:
- Development and ongoing review of the school charter
- Monitoring and reviewing the school’s progress
- Putting in place a policy framework
- Employing the Principal
- Managing school assets
- Health and safety for all students, staff, and visitors
- Ensuring the school’s legal compliance
- Implementing the National Education Guidelines
- Working closely with NZSTA to ensure good practice
Our Board is made up of parent-elected members, usually voted in by the parent body every three years. We also have a staff representative (three-year term), a student representative (one-year term), the Principal, and any specially selected members required to ensure a complete skillset and broad representation.
